"I come from Qingdao, a beautiful shore city in northern China! I really appreciate having time study at CMU, all professors in the department are friendly and knowledgeable. It is also very helpful that I can talk with so much talented students around the campus, even if there is some challenge, but after that you will find that it's worth it. It is my pleasure to serve the community as a student ambassador. I think in student’s perspective will have a better understanding of what students actually need for better study/research/life. I am pleased to be a part of this opportunity!"

"Being an ambassador has given me a chance to understand and appreciate all the work that goes on in the background. Getting to voice the student's opinions and perspectives to initiate projects, changes and discussions with the department has been a rewarding experience. Practicing with my dance team and taking a walk around campus are my favorite ways to unwind. In my free time, I also enjoy attending plays staged by students from the Drama School, many of which are offered at no cost to CMU students."

"A CMU master's allowed me to step away from industry and focus on topics that I’m deeply interested in, with faculty/staff who are deeply committed to helping me achieve my goals. As an ambassador, I’ve been able to build community amongst administrators and staff whom I’d otherwise likely not interact with regularly. It’s allowed me to see all of the effort and coordination that goes into smoothly running our department and program. Favorite spot on campus: First floor of Scaife Hall, waiting for a Redhawk coffee Tip for students: “Traveler, there is no path. The path is made by walking.”
