A new chapter for Scaife Hall
With a generous lead grant from the Allegheny Foundation, the university has announced plans to build a new Scaife Hall. The building will feature expanded, technology-rich labs; modern, flexible classrooms; and spaces that facilitate formal and informal collaborations.
- Graduate programs
In addition to our Ph.D. program, we offer three master's programs to fit your academic and professional goals. Are you looking for a research-intensive program? Would you prefer to pursue a technical concentration (design and manufacturing of mechanical systems, energy and fluid systems, or robotics and control systems)? Or, does a one-year program best suit your needs? Learn more about each program before applying.
- Undergraduate program
Our undergraduate program in mechanical engineering prepares students for their individual career paths and fosters the ability to adapt to the rapidly changing technologies faced by today's engineers. Project-based courses, opportunities to pursue independent research, study abroad options, and hundreds of student organizations enrich the student experience. Learn more.
Innovation. Multidisciplinary collaboration. Complex problem solving.
