The annual Mechanical Engineering Development Fund consists of gifts that are unrestricted and are generally spent in the fiscal year in which they are given. Your gift to this fund helps to defray the costs of educating tomorrow’s leaders and also assists in advancing the frontiers of engineering knowledge in our department, on campus, and beyond.
How do I make my gift?
Your gift has the greatest impact on the Department of Mechanical Engineering when you designate it to the "Mechanical Engineering Development Fund."

Don't forget to ask your employer about matching gifts.
Donors who make major gifts (generally $50,000 and above) often choose to create lasting legacies by establishing or contributing to an endowed fund. Endowments are permanent assets that generate income to support a particular program or area specified by the donor.
Endowed funds can be unrestricted, providing a source of 'seed funding,' or designated for a variety of purposes including scholarships and fellowships; professorships, directorships, and deanships; academic or research programs; and maintenance of facilities.
Endowments may be named for the donor and/or someone a donor wishes to honor or memorialize.
Donors who establish endowed funds or make major gifts for buildings, research or program funds, or other ongoing projects may choose to have their named associated with the fund or the area. Or they may wish to honor or memorialize another person.
